US Stocks & ETFs — Tickers, Company Info, Market Caps, Logos — Dataset
As I start to put my financial toolkit and strategy together, I went ahead and put together a dataset of all US Stocks and ETFs including tickers, company information and logos with the help of the IEX Trading API and IEX Finance Python Module.

Since I also stored the data directly on MongoDB, I had some fun putting together a few MongoDB charts and quick tidbits while I was at it. Enjoy!
Market Cap by Sector — Technology and Financial Services lead the way followed by Consumer Cyclical and Healthcare.
Market Cap by Industry — no surprise that Application Software, Online Media and Banks take the top spots.
Market Cap by Tags, Companies over 100B and 50B below. Note: since these are screenshot from MongoDB Charts, they may be missing some label information due to size constraints.
NYSE and Nasdaq lead the other exchanges by total market cap.
CEO Names (Stocks and ETFs) and Market Cap Relationship — James, David and Mark CEO first names lead the way, and Li, Van, Smith for CEO last names. Interesting to see the grouping of American first names and Chinese last names (Li, Wang, Chen). John is the most popular CEO first name and Perlowski is the most popular last name due to all the Blackrock ETFs run by John M. Perlowski.
